OUR HISTORY

We have served the Lord in the Philippines since 1979.   The
following is a summary of what the Lord has accomplished
through us to His glory:

1983 è 1988

Cotabato City, Island of Mindanao--a predominantly Musl_m
area.   During this term we saw established:

q Bible Baptist Church--Pastor: Feliciano Bernardo

q Citadel Bible Baptist Institute

q Five missions through the Cotabato City church

q Three College campus ministries

q Two Jail ministries

q Radio ministry

1991 è 1995

q Solid Rock Bible Baptist Church, Pigkawayan, north of
Cotabato City--Pastor: Ronaldo del Rio

q Kampilan Bible Baptist Church, Awang, Maguindanao.   A
military church reaching men of the 37th Infantry Battalion, 6th
Division, Philippine Army--Pastor: Jessie Llanura

q Mindanao Baptist Literature Outreach, headed by Mrs. Donna
Walley & Mrs. Felicia Llanura--provided 1,050 Sunday School
lessons, D.V.B.S. materials, and my. stories (all printed
and illustrated by hand) to 25 churches and 37 missions.   Reaching
over 5,000 children each week.

q Bible Translation: translating and computerizing the Authorized,
King James Version into the Subanen dialect--working with
Pastor Edison Ocay, Lighthouse Baptist Church, Kalamansig.

OUR GOALS

January 1997 è The Rapture

Upon returning to the Philippines, we plan to relocate in General
Santos City--200 miles south of Cotabato City in the Saranggani
Province on the southern coast of the island of Mindanao.   This
whole region has:

q over 1.5 million people
q 3 SBC works
q only 1 independent Baptist Church

Manila
Cotabato City
General Santos City

Lord willing, we shall be laboring to:

q Plant new works in Kiamba, Maasim, and Maitum

q Reach the T'boli Tribe, located in the mountains

q Continue the Mindanao Baptist Literature ministry.   Mrs.
Walley will work with Mrs. Felyn Baño to supply literature to
over 100 churches who have requested materials.   They will be
translating into Tagalog, Cebuano, and Ilongo.

q Continue working with Pastor Edison Ocay in his Subanen
translation of the Authorized Version.

OUR NEEDS

We share these needs with you so that you might pray for us and
know our burdens.

q Prayer, wisdom, and continued financial support.

q Restored health for both of us.

q Safety and traveling mercies during our furlough and time of
reporting to the churches.

q God's hand of protection upon the pastors and workers in the
Philippines, and for ourselves when we return.   Mindanao has for
many years experienced volatile political problems with the
Mosl_m secessionist rebellion.

q Additional monthly support of $500.   The peso has devalued
over 17% in the last 4 years.   The cost of living will be greater in
the new area.

q $3,500 to pay off medical bills.   This is an urgent need because
we are paying them off with funds we need to live on here in the
United States.

q $3,500 for return air travel.

q $12,000 for the purchase of a reliable vehicle upon our return.

q Additional funds to purchase appliances in the Philippines.
Our old appliances are from 1979, and have quit!!

q Authorized, King James Version Bibles--in good condition.

q Pray that the Visa requirements will not change.

THANK YOU...

...to all of you who have been so faithful
to pray for and support--
or will be
praying for and supporting
--the
Lord's work through Bible Baptist
Church and us, His vessels.

OUR CHURCH

We serve through MINDANAO BAPTIST
OUTREACH, a my. ministry of:

Bible Baptist Church
Oak Harbor, Washington
Dr. Gary S. Prisk--Pastor

Bible Baptist Church is a Bible-believing (therefore
independent, unaffiliated, evangelistic, premillennial,
pretribulational) Baptist Church.   It is located 3 miles
south of Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island--
approximately 50 miles N.N.W. of Seattle (in the Puget
Sound).   The Church was founded in 1974 by Pastor
Prisk.

Following the New Testament pattern of Acts 13, we
are members of, and sent by, our Church, which
assumes the full responsibility of all our affairs.   We
are fully accountable to our Church and its pastor.   All
financial support received is processed and receipted
by the Church office.
