Mr. Pastor Naoji Nagai (1864-1945) completed and published the Shin Keiyaku
seisho yakugokai ippan (New Covenant) in 1928. His one-man version of only the
New Testament has been based upon the Stephanus 1550 Greek NT text. It is an
accurate translation which reads well. The scanned copy is from 1931 in the
old kanji characters. A reprint in newer furigana characters, which gives you
the pronunciation of the kanji characters, has been reprinted in the 199s but
is unfortunately out of print.
