We live in a day and age where most folks either don't bother going to church,
or go just to "get it over with." For many
people, God isn't a very important part of life at all.
Many sincere people feel that something is missing in their life and desire to
get closer to God, but they don't know how. They struggle through the
trials and burdens of life and wonder where God is. Other folks ponder
such questions as: "Where did all of this begin?,"
"Why am I here?," and "What happens
when this life is over?"
The Bible has the answer to life's greatest questions. Our Creator has
left us an "instruction manual" on life. At
Calvary Baptist, we strive to give people the Bible in a practical way that
will help them deal with the needs of everyday life.
The Word of God is not an old, outdated history book. It is as up to
date as tomorrow's newspaper. The Bible tells us how to get to Heaven
when we die, and how to live while on the way there. This life is
actually a dressing room for eternity.
