'Son Of Man Sendeth Out The Twelve Disciples'

   KEY VERSE: 9:23 -- "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

I. CHRIST SENDS HIS APOSTLES TO WORK MIRACLES, AND TO PREACH (1-6)

  A. Jesus EMPOWERED His disciples (1)

  B. We need to depend on God's power (3)

  C. We need to be reaching out to "the towns" <-- plural (6)

II. HEROD THE TETRARCH DESIRES TO SEE CHRIST (7-9)

  A. Many people are willing to accept any explanation except the right 
     one. 

  B. Herod beheaded John the Baptist (9)

III. THE APOSTLES RETURN (10-11)
