Cultivate a Love for Missions in your church.
The Pastor has to be Excited about Missions.
I. The Missionary Letter
3 or 4 things...
Make it as Simple as possible.
People are very busy.
Don't use a lot of details.
Be Short & Precise.
Put Basic Missionary Endeavors in the letter.
Mention major Financial Changes.
II. Finances
A. Personal Support - rent, food
B. Work Support - gas for car, repairs, visa renewals, travel expenses, shipping expenses
Don't ship everything to the field.
Try to buy everything you Need on the field.
One 'Container' should be enough.
Don't cart a lot of stuff around (e.g. books, libraries).
If you have been on the foreign mission field for a time then come back to the U.S. & Rest a month or so.
Don't hit the preaching circuit right away.Need about 60 Churches to Support you.
You need to Visit ~110 churches.
