ST's Testimony Dear Pastor, God has called me into the ministry and to the mission field of Country.   I was born in Country in 1976 while my father, Dr. LAT, was there teaching and preaching God's Word.   I lived in that country for nearly eight years during which time, under my father's preaching, I came to the realization that I was a sinner headed to Hell and I needed a Saviour and that Jesus Christ is that Saviour and the only Saviour.   It was the year of 1982 when I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and believed His promise of eternal life.   Praise God for His mercy and His grace! My first mission trip to Country was in 1998 with my father, Dr. LAT, during which time I was able to preach my first sermons and share the good news about the love and grace of my Saviour in their language.   It was on this trip that I surrendered to God's calling to be a my.   I have made many trips since then and God has blessed each time. Please pray for me and take this ministry in consideration for monthly financial support. Dr. LAT has been a my. to that country for over thirty years.   I have enjoyed working with Dr. Turk and I look forward in working with him in the years ahead, until the completion of the Bible translation project, or until God leads otherwise.   When I was there with him in 1998 I witnessed the work of the LORD and had a part in over forty-five souls saved, over 20 baptized and a Bible believing Independent Baptist Church-Mission started. I am very familiar with their culture and I can speak their language.   God has given me a special burden for the Indonesian people.   He has dealt with their hearts in a special way so that they have been receptive to me as I witnessed to them.   More importantly some have been receptive to God's Word.   I have truly been blessed to be used of God! Dr. Turk's Recommendation To all my beloved independent Baptist pastor friends and churches, It is with great joy that I write this letter concerning my son, ST.   Samuel has surrendered to God's call to serve as a my. to Country.   Actually, Samuel has already proven himself, having been used of the Lord to bring key people to Christ in Country during 1998. Samuel is making extremely rapid progress relearning the Indonesian he was once fluent in as a child, and so is already an effective soul winner in Country.   He is very sober and mature, and has a happy, friendly, outgoing nature.   He is also a strong leader, is a hard worker, and has strong independent Baptist convictions. Until God leads otherwise, Samuel will be working with me. I can think of no better way to invest mission dollars than to invest them in Samuel.   He knows and is used to the hardships of the Indonesian mission field.   You can be sure he will not be among the quitters. STATEMENT OF FAITH We believe that the 1611 King James translation of the Holy Bible is God's preserved and inerrant word for the English speaking peoples.   That it has truth without any admixture of error for its matter. We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it should be accepted literally. We believe all mankind to be sinners as a result of the voluntary transgression of Adam. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Ghost in a miraculous manner; born of Mary, a virgin, as no other man, and that He is the Son of God and God the Son. We believe that salvation is wholly of grace through the blood of Christ that was shed on the cross.   We hold that a sinner must accept this atonement for his sins in order to be saved. We believe that a church is a group of baptized believers whose only guide is the Bible and whose only mission is to teach and preach the Gospel of Christ. We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer.    We believe that Christ rose bodily from the grave; that after forty days He ascended to the right hand of God, where He is today interceding for the saints; that He will some day return to earth, bodily, personally, and visibly, to establish His kingdom for a thousand years of righteous reign.
